There are seasons in life when you do not just change.

You arrive.

For Tracey, this season is one of reflection, courage, faith, and becoming. At 43 years young, she stands at the intersection of motherhood, purpose, and reinvention. One month before turning 41, she welcomed her first child into the world. Since then, life has unfolded in ways both beautiful and stretching, asking her to rediscover who she is while holding tightly to who she has always been.

Tracey is a woman with a lot of heart. A caregiver by nature and a cheerleader by calling, she finds deep joy in watching others succeed. Yet like many women with big dreams, she sometimes wrestles with believing that her own success is just as possible. What anchors her is her faith. Without it, she says she would be lost. With it, she continues to move forward, even when fear tries to whisper otherwise.

Love, the Tracey Way.

Acts of service is Tracey’s love language, and that devotion extends inward too. She shows love to herself in simple, grounding ways. Working quietly in her flower garden. Taking silent drives in her car, letting her thoughts breathe without interruption. These moments are not escapes. They are sacred pauses.

Born on June 28, Tracey carries the warmth and depth of early summer. There is a softness to her spirit and a strength beneath it that feels earned, not rushed.

Why This Moment Matters.

This photoshoot was not about vanity. It was about testimony.

Tracey had always dreamed of being professionally photographed. Until now, the only times she had experienced professional makeup were for her wedding and a friend’s wedding. More than a decade later, she chose this moment because everything in her life is shifting. Career paths. Jobs. Seasons. Identity.

She wanted to capture this chapter as evidence of God’s strength and His amazing grace in her life. Not the polished final version. The present, powerful becoming.

Seeing Herself, Fully.

Tracey is her own biggest critic. Many of us understand that deeply. Yet when she imagined seeing her portraits, her hope was simple and bold all at once.

Wow factor.
Is that Tracey?
She’s gorgeous.

She wanted to see herself as empowered, beautiful, sexy and sophisticated. A boss lady leader. Not your average educator, as she laughs. She wanted portraits that reflected confidence, elegance, and presence. The kind that stop you mid scroll and make you look twice.

When asked what she loves about herself, she answered honestly and unapologetically. Her legs. Her smile, which she has been told lights up a room. And yes, her boobs. She is human, joyful, and real. She also shared with humor that her feet might need a little extra grace. Growth is allowed everywhere.

More Than a Portrait.

Tracey hopes to one day look back at these images with her child and remember who she was becoming in this season. She even dreams of being photographed with her three year old, capturing not just beauty, but legacy.

With an 80s and 90s playlist, gospel, jazz, and a little joy in the air, this session was about more than photographs. It was about claiming space. Honoring growth. And reminding herself that she too is allowed to succeed.

Tracey is a work in progress, yes.
But she is also a daughter of The Most High God.
And that changes everything.
