Starter Loc’s & Branding Pictures

As a photographer, I hear so many questions:
“Can I do branding images with starter locs?”
“Can I wear red?”
“Am I the right size?”

All of these come from society not showcasing women who look like us.

We’ve been conditioned to believe you can’t take branding pictures with locs or braids because it’s “unprofessional.” But here’s the truth: YOU are professional. Your business is professional because of you—not your hair, not the color you wear, not your body size.

Think about it: why would you want to look like everyone else? The same hairstyles? The same black blazer? That doesn’t showcase your business—it just shows conformity.

Girl, you’ve gone 10x harder than most. This shouldn’t even be a question.
