Meet Cassandra S.!

Cassandra is a wife and mother of 2 beautiful boys. With that much testosterone in her house, she was ready to do something for herself, especially with her 55th birthday coming in January! She was more than ready to step outside of her comfort zone. From fun to sexy to beauty, she wanted to try a little of everything to enhance her time at our studio.

CASSANDRA’S Q&A:

One word to describe yourself. Why did you choose this word?

Compassionate.

I recognize that life can be challenging at times and that I must show myself and others kindness, attention, care, and understanding as I nurture myself and others through that struggle.

Who are you as an individual?

I wear many hats, wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and social worker to name a few. But I consider myself to be a proud, and compassionate woman, who loves putting a smile on the faces of others.

Why do you want to be photographed?

To capture me during my midlife so that I my reflect back on my life as a young adult, then and my future stage of life as a seasoned senior.

In your opinion, what are some stigmas and beliefs that women face after they turn 30?

Not sure if it's characterized as a stigma, but it’s characterized as a disgrace when a young lady is not married or has had a child(ren) in her 30s. With that being said, in your 30's I believe a young lady should have the opportunity during those years to know herself, her likes, dislikes, and desires, make life/career plans, set goals for her future, and enjoy a life free of the distractions of being a wife and mother. Being a wife and a mother is a wonderful thing!!! I'm just saying try not to allow family, friends, or society to persuade one to walk the aisle or carry the load of motherhood before one knows ONESELF.

What advice do you have for other women in their 30s?

Always be true to yourself, and be ready to deal with the consequences of the decisions you make.

What do you currently love about yourself?

I love my quirky sense of humor and laughing at my jokes when no one else is.

How do you hope to feel or look in your portraits?

I hope they bring me joy and gratitude for the beauty given to me by God and my parents that cannot be duplicated.

What hobbies are you into?

Hadn't found my true niche but I like crafting.
